Supporting Nordic music, dance, and culture in the Pacific Northwest is a significant part of the Jane Isakson Lea Foundation's mission.

Groups in the greater Seattle area whose focus and purpose is Nordic music, dance, or Nordic language instruction are invited to apply for grants.

• The Jane Foundation is pleased to donate to causes and requires a written request from all recipients.
  
• The request must state why the funds are needed. What objective or project will the money help you with?
  
• Follow-up grants depend on our having received an old-fashioned letter of appreciation for our files.

The Jane Foundation has additional criteria for making large donations ($50,000 or more). The receiving organization must have:

• A balanced budget
  
• A history of financial stability
  
• Leadership in which the Jane Foundation Board has confidence
  
• A plan to use the funds for a mostly Swedish-related activity
